SUGAR LAND HERITAGE FOUNDATION SPEAKEASY PARTY

Guests at the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation’s “pop up” Prohibition Speakeasy party enjoyed signature libations, fine fare by local restaurants, music and friendly games of chance. They didn’t let a raid by “Elliot Ness” break up the party, sponsored by the Sterling McCall Auto Group. Partygoers knew the password to enter Anson Aviation’s hangar at Sugar Land Regional Airport and heard “The Chairman Frank Sinatra” belt out favorite tunes and cheered on the flappers who showed off their gams for the group. The Foundation is raising funds for a museum to preserve for future generations the rich and unique history of Sugar Land.

CORKS & FORKS

The inaugural American Cancer Society Houston Corks and Forks was held at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar. Guests gathered at the beautiful downtown venue to enjoy delicious food paired with craft cocktails and wine, and to raise funds to help support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to help people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back against a disease that has taken far too much. This year’s Event Chair, Kris Farmer, and the Houston Corks and Forks committee worked tirelessly to ensure the evening was a huge success.
