Literacy Council of Fort Bend County Spelling Bee Party with a Purpose
The 7th Annual Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee committee recently gathered with current sponsors and friends to kick off the event with a Party with a Purpose, sponsored by Sterling McCall Lexus and the Johnson Development Corporation. The event was held at a Sitterle model home at Imperial Sugar Land. Guests enjoyed delicious goodies by 26 Daisies Events and Catering. The Literacy Council of Fort Bend’s annual Spelling Bee, presented by CenterPoint Energy, is a fun, casual evening of friendly competition among teams slated for Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6:30-9 p.m. at Constellation Field. This year’s Bee is co-chaired by Holly Kaminga and Lawren Eckhardt.

Central Fort Bend Chamber Masters Golf Tournament
The Central Fort Bend Chamber along with Presenting Sponsor, Rosenberg-Richmond Auto Mile, and Masters Sponsor Silver Eagle Distributors, proudly hosted the Fort Bend Masters Golf Tournament on June 27 at the prestigious Black Hawk Country Club in Richmond. Over 200 Chamber members participated as players, sponsors and volunteers in the 31st Annual Tournament. The four-person scramble consisted of two flights and featured fun entertainment, prizes, and delicious food and beverages at each hole.
